Pretty Elderflower Cupcake Recipe

A delicious alternative Elderflower recipe

The Elderflowers come and go far to quickly and as the last lacy blooms start to fade a few of the fragrant floral bouquets can still be gathered  to make these pretty little cakes...

There is a few folktales regarding these special shrub one being the flowers are to be picked at their most fragrant on the height of a Summer day.

As we well know with our British Summers that doesn’t happen quite as often as it should, so if you can grab them while you can, they still smell just as fragrant in the rain and this is the best Elderflower Cupcake recipe and is a different take on the usual cordial recipes you come across.

Simple and Minimal

With lemon icing this recipe is easy, that it  makes a great rainy day project to do to when we have those Summer showers that sometimes do not know when to stop.

A Place To Gather

for an afternoon tea, wedding, a summer gathering of friends and family or taken on a picnic

Or if like me eaten sat in garden with a cup of tea

Little realising in that moment from a batch of twelve I would only be left with three
