My Story

My Story - Wood Be Loved

A deeply immersive art and photographic journey of perceptions and emotions, how clouds gather, chase, then clear in wild untamed landscapes, both literally and metaphorically and how we can always find hope and connection in a differnt view.

Creating emotive rural art, I use a tapestry of natural materials, mixed media and photography to create beautiful grounding sanctuaries of peace, woven in our seasons, stitched in wild landscapes and the meaning of home and the nature of being.

My artistic practice brings a moment to pause, reflect, imagine and exolore and to take action on what brings you love and joy and to remember you are not on your own.

An award winning artist I am found in the landscapes of the UK with an online art gallery (coming soon), 'Field Notes' journal, small meditations with lovely letters by email.

My background is in the art of rural craft, heritage interiors, vernicular buildings, rural workers and the freedom to run, travel, nourish and grow in these wild landscapes.

The above is woven in two bodies of work, with the common thread of finding Sanctuary.

Tapestry Art Photography

Intricate tapestries are a process I developed that are re-worked from threads of memories, journeys, our seasons and wild landscapes, creatingvibrational texture, colour and thoughtfulness exhibited in the medium of fine art photography.  Use of the modern pixel as a stitch in a new story, creares connection to ourselves, others, heritage and hope in a different view.

Return to Nature  Art

Tactile emotive gathered wood forms the basis of the 'return to nature' Art collection, ingrained landscapes using a variety of patinas, inks, earth pigments and organic elements to quietly produce regenerative art that bring sanctuaries for a more beautiful nurturing circular way of living.
